20.03.2006 "Piccol" has been taken in production use at Scandinavian Cable Service

SCS (Scandinavian Cable Service) PDM project "Helios" has finished the first major milestone and has taken "Piccolo" configuration of TappIT PDM solution in use.
Piccolo is TappIT PDM-SMB product configuration which is targeted to be first step for SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) on their way of developing PDM application stack. Piccolo contains PDM module ready made products and order-delivery modules. Piccolo produce SCS order-delivery papares as well as production batch instructions.

SCS is 1999 founded service company which delivered wide range of solution of web based material for cable manufacturer. SCS has production facilities at EURA- Finalnd. SCS primary market is in Nordic countries, Russian and Estonia.

TappIT is Independent Software Development company which is founded 2005. TappIT focused on product and production data management system specially for web based production like flexible packing industry.

19.12.2005 TappIT launch PDM development project

TEKES

TappIT and TEKES (Finish National Technology Agency) has agreed the basic for product development project which will be founded by TappIT and TEKES. TEKES will give TappIT capital loan. Loan time will be 6 year, first 3 year are free of installment.

Capital loan will is targeted to strength TappIT balance sheet during production development period. Product development project is planned to finish at December 2006.

Project is focused to develop product and production data management tools for web based industries. Developed product is targeted to work with ERP or legacy system as enhancement of product information management and increase availability and quality of information at production. TappIT is also searching part to work with data collection from production machines and production environment.

TEKES is the main public funding organization for research and development in Finland. Tekes funds industrial projects as well as projects in research organizations, and especially promotes innovative, risk-intensive projects. Tekes offers partners from abroad a gateway to the key technology players in Finland.

12.09.2005 Scandinavian Cable Service has sign letter of intent for TappIT PDM-SMB delivery

SCS (Scandinavian Cable Service) and TappIT has sign LOI of full DPM-SMB package delivery. Contract contains Product Data Management, Production Information system and Order-Delivery process support tools for SMB (Small and Medium Size Businesses) industry. Project is next step of SCS investment project made for production capacity 2004-2005. Project main target is to increase efficiency as well as stream line product managment and prodcution support processes

Project will start in December 2005 and end at Aprill 2005. Delivered product will be TappIT PDM-SMB beta version and project will contain also major software development effort for TappIT PDM product.
